More Ice 12.8.12
(Last Updated On: December 11, 2012)
We can’t help it. We’re ice climbers now. OK, not really, but we’re enjoying it and until we get more snow and a safer snowpack, we’ll be trying to get out at least once a week on the ice. We were joined by Ben Morello and Scott Yost and we headed back to our local ice one last time before the snows came in and made it a less desirable choice. On to some photos…
It looks like I’m leading in this one, but I have to admit that I’m just trailing a rope to set up a second on our first go-around.
Working on my technique in these three photos… it’s a bit different than rock. “Squat, Stand, Swing” is what Will Gadd calls it. A really nice article on ice technique can be found HERE.
Digging the icicles in this one.
Hoping to get down to Lake City next weekend. We’ll see…
