Today Was a Good Day.

(Last Updated On: February 22, 2013)

Still on the road, but wanted to share today’s adventure:

It was a good one, truly the steep and deep. Didn’t know Yellowstone National Park had good skiing, but apparently it does. Reports coming next week…

I check into the Cooke City Chronicle regularly and I’m amazed about the lines that exist in YNP. Seems like you have found the goods. looking forward to the full trip report. http://cookecitychronicle.blogspot.com/

Yeah Ann, spent a long time looking at that site the other day. Good stuff. Edit to add- looks like they were there the day before. Tracks were pretty erased in the cooler, though.

Cool to see you in our neck of the woods! Been following your adventures for more than a few years and it’s fun to see you chiming in from up here. How about that AC traverse? Pretty cool line those boys skied way back when.

Thanks Albert, it’s a fun neck of the woods. Yeah, the AC didn’t look too in. Couldn’t tell how much of it they skied vs downclimbed from Turiano’s book. Speaking of which, “Select Climbs of Greater Yellowstone” is out of print- if anyone knows how to get a copy, please let me know Frank@14erskiers.com
