Introducing the Crested Butte Hiking Guide

Many of you are aware that I haven’t been able to ride my bike much this summer due to two herniated discs in my back. However, I HAVE been hiking a lot. I have really enjoyed slowing down for a bit, sniffing the flowers, and hiking new trails that I have been unable to travel on with my bike. It’s been an excellent summer of exploration. I can now say I know the mountains of Crested Butte better than I’ve ever known them.
Frank suggested that I put together a hiking guide as a compliment to his mountain biking guide. So, I have begun to do so. Some of you may have noticed it already, but the hiking guide is linked under the 14erskiers Pages at right. It has over 20 hikes- with descriptions, route info, links to trip reports and maps. So, please check it out. And continue exploring and loving the mountains that make Crested Butte one of the most amazing places on this Earth.
