Halloween Ski (31 Oct 2015)
(Last Updated On: November 3, 2015)
Nearly every year, I make it a goal to ski on or before Halloween. This year was no different. Sometimes, when the backcountry snow doesn’t allow for adequate turns, I’ll head to Loveland Ski Area instead. But, this year, Mother Nature decided to give us a little taste of winter during the second half of October. So, Jenny and I decided to test out conditions at at old favorite.
Alright, not too shabby.
And it got better. Coverage was actually surprisingly good. We decided not to head into Jenga Chute given various windloading and windslabs that had us a little leary.
The turns were pretty good, and we barely hit any rocks. Jenny.
But, the turns down low were definitely some of the best:) Jenny.
Well, that was fun! If you look close, you can see some of our tracks 🙂
Great start to the season! Let’s hope that the forecaster’s are right about this next storm!
