Fall’s Afoot

It’s in the air. It’s everywhere! The leaves on trees are as gold as can be!
I went for a little hike on Friday after work, seeking out the changing of the leaves. Here’s what I found.
Sparkling yellow leaves
On the soaring aspen trees
Come with a crisp scent
Followed by a chill in the breeze.
And this time of year
I start to skip all around
Because soon enough
There will be snow coming down.
So here’s to the fall
And all the beauty it makes
From the gold and the orange
To the white of snowflakes!
