Belated TR: Green Lake Chutes (19 Mar 2011)

(Last Updated On: April 19, 2011)

Our friend Dave was in town and we wanted to show him some goods. Unfortunately, what looked like a blue-bird day quickly turned greybird. Our plans to ski Purple were thwarted by low visibility. So, we changed plans and headed to lower terrain- the Green Lake Chutes.

Frank and I skied one chute, while Dave skied another. Here’s a few shots of Frank.

We went up for a second lap. While Dave dropped another Green Lake Chute, Frank and I wanted to venture a bit farther. We made our way to the top of Axtell, and then headed over to Wang Chung face.

All in all, not bad for a greybird day. Great to be able to show Dave some of the fantastic terrain we have surrounding us here in Crested Butte 🙂
