But, we were a bit tentative about what the new snow had done to the snowpack. We decided to &#8220;play it safe&#8221; and to a place we often tend to steer away from &#8211; the Anthracites.  <\/p>\n<p>This is why we don&#8217;t tend to go to the Anthracites.  We counted 19 sleds at the trailhead- an all time record for us.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/14erskiers.com\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/anthracites_23nov2013\/1460098_10201316899379408_1259635326_n-copy.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, we found some good powder stashes.  Even the skin track was enjoyable.
