We were to leave Thursday afternoon.  But, the weather was looking ultimately blue and perfect for Thursday.  I wondered if I could possibly squeeze in a ski before we left.  Frank couldn&#8217;t join, but things fell together when Ethan gave me a call on Wednesday evening.  <\/p>\n<p>We were skinning by sunrise.  Always a beautiful time.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/14erskiers.com\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/owenridge_17oct2013\/dscn7009sunriseethan.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p><!--more READ MORE--><\/p>\n<p>Ruby living up to its name.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/14erskiers.com\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/owenridge_17oct2013\/dscn7008sunriseruby.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Surprised not to see anyone up in our zone, we immediately went for a favorite.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/14erskiers.com\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/owenridge_17oct2013\/dscn7017jenga.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>After booting up the couloir, Ethan dropped in first, spewing powder everywhere \ud83d\ude42<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/14erskiers.com\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/owenridge_17oct2013\/dscn7027ethandrops2.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>But there was plenty of skiing to be done after the couloir.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/14erskiers.com\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/owenridge_17oct2013\/dscn7075ethanbottom.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/14erskiers.com\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/owenridge_17oct2013\/dscn7078ethan.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Lap two took us higher to another coulior, like a canvas waiting to be tracked.  Look familiar? Despite being pressed for time, we went back for yet another third lap. The only thing more perfect would be to have the day never end.  <\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s winter.
