Those who live in the mountains know that some of the greatest beauty is held on the edges of passing storms. With clouds that encircle mountains and light that casts a scene so surreal you feel like you couldn’t actually be here on Earth, storm days are strangely fantastic. We’ve had a lot of these scenes this past week as the monsoons passed over with an unusual September vengeance. While the storms didn’t inspire us to ride, they inspired the need to capture the beauty – and that is why we did ride in the end.
