This one might just turn out to be a GEM. Basically, an experienced ski builder is selling skis for $333 and building them out of a trailer he tows around Mammoth, CA. He’s doing some things differently, speeding up the process, using different materials, and keeping his overhead down. You can choose your ski dimensions, stiffness, and amount of rocker, all for $333. Of course, if that’s too much for you, you can buy a test pair for $222, which don’t come with graphics or as long of a warranty. In an age where mass produced skis sell for at least double that price, and sometimes triple for a custom model, I can’t help but wish this guy success. My friend Tom went ahead and ordered a pair, so hopefully he’ll get them soon enough to test them out and give a review. Of course, only time will tell if the skis last or not as well. But if they do, at those prices I’ll have a ski for every day and every condition, plus a few more just to hang on the wall 🙂

For more information, check out 333 Skis

And if anyone has actually gotten their hands on a pair, let us know what you think…

Searching through the TGR forums is like being a miner- there’s an awful lot of junk to go through just

[8

post-476","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-gear
["GET
