{"id":415384,"date":"2015-06-30T18:55:54","date_gmt":"2015-07-01T00:55:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/14erskiers.com\/blog\/?p=415384"},"modified":"2015-07-01T17:19:01","modified_gmt":"2015-07-01T23:19:01","slug":"tr-bonita-peak-19-june-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/14erskiers.com\/blog\/2015\/06\/tr-bonita-peak-19-june-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"TR: Bonita Peak  (19 June 2015)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After having a fun day backcountry skiing at <a href=\"https:\/\/14erskiers.com\/blog\/2015\/06\/clear-lake-6-18-15\/\" target=\"_blank\">Clear Lake<\/a>, we were eager to check out what else the San Juans held in store. So, on this Friday morning, we found ourselves standing at the bottom of Storm Peak in Velocity Basin. We were hoping that these north-facing lines had not fallen prone to the trend of other north facing couloirs we&#8217;d seen in the last week &#8211; slid out and runneled from the heat and rain. But, alas, our hopes would not be the truth. So, we turned around with our tails between our legs, in search of a plan B.<\/p>\n<p>We followed the snow.  The <em>white and smooth<\/em> snow that is.
