Now that it is officially spring, snow has begun to fall once again.  Though the Crested Butte ski area isn&#8217;t know for large snowfalls when storms come out of the NW, the surrounding backcountry can do quite well.  Axtel may only be a few miles to the W of Crested Butte, but conditions couldn&#8217;t have been more different.
