I first met Jim Jack over 10 years ago at the Kirkwood comp.  Jim Jack&#8217;s smooth style impressed me almost as much as his smiling demeanor.  The guy truly loved to ski.  One of my most memorable days of the last 10 years was a day with pretty average conditions at Red Mountain.  It was the afternoon after that comp, and a handful of us just started ripping around on the terrain accessed from the Red lift.  After the stress of a competition, there was something innately carefree and enjoyable about those runs- in no small part due to Jim Jack.
