The storm hit Saturday night. When we awoke on Sunday morning, the snow continued to fall and the wind continued to blow the snow sideways. With less-than-optimal backcountry conditions shaping up, we decided to go to search out something a bit protected from the wind. We found it on a north-facing slope up Slate River road! <\/p>\n
