The Week it Snowed 4ft

(Last Updated On: February 13, 2014)

That’s right. Four feet of snow in one week. We haven’t seen numbers like that in a long time.

So much snow, it looked like the Pacific Northwest!

This morning, the snow report read this. But, for the last few day’s the 7-day snow total has read 48″.

Avy danger was high, so venturing in the backcountry was not really an option for us. But, the resort thrives on days like this. To be honest, we were so busy enjoying all the new snow to stop and take a lot of pictures. But, here’s a few both of us managed to gather in between the face shots and smiles.

Trees were coated thick with the dense snow. A good sign that the snow was going to hold well on our steeper terrain.

The snow fell so hard sometimes that it was difficult to see.

We were coated with snow on every lift ride. But, no one ever complained. (Pete, Frank, Chris)

Lookin’ good!

Chris going for the huck.

Yep, that way is down.

Then the sun came out. Our way is the high life.

Snow makes everything more beautiful.

Cold smoke blue sky.

Caught the opening of Third Bowl.

Alex taking the huck.

It’s been a good snow year, all the way from the onset back in October. Let’s hope that the flakes continue to fly!
