I've still got the stitches in but am looking forward to having them taken out on Wednesday and then I'll hopefully be able to move my head more.....the pain is awful and I get really tired very quickly now..... I was lucky because my surgery only required removal of half of my thyroid. I do believe that recovery is a bit longer for full thyroid removal. That being said, I understand what you're going through and how scary this surgery can be, especially for a female athlete.
