TR: Hurricane Peak (19 June 2015)

(Last Updated On: June 30, 2015)

The skiing on Bonita Peak that morning was so good, and the breeze was keeping the snow from getting too soft. So, we decided there was more skiing to be done that day. The west-facing lines on Hurricane Peak seemed like the next best choice!

We downclimbed a bit from the summit to find our way into the west-facing gullies of Hurricane. There, like Bonita, we had some pretty good skiing too! Natalia.

It was a good second ski for the day – great corn and fantastic views. This Ross Basin area is full of backcountry skiing potential and was a great way to end our 3-day jaunt in the San Juans!
