I have fond memories of Crested Butte,,,, from my days living in Telluride in the late 1970s. Partner Jane and I bought an old 2-ton Chev Truck from an auto wrecker in Gunnysack. Used it to move us from T-ride to New Denver, north of Nelson. We live in Victoria now but I return each year to Meca (the backcountry of the Selkirks around Nelson, New Denver, Revelstoke, Golden).
