Jason- Correct, follow the old Italian Creek road from the top of Reno. You'll get above treeline and see the trail on your right as you approach the saddle between Italian mountain and American Flag mountain. The trail turns into a road just above Spring Creek reservoir-- look for road 744 once you reach the reservoir. You can either follow the road all the way to the top of the Bear Creek downhill, or, when you see the Flag creek singletrack, walk across the creek (50') and ride the singletrack. The singletrack is faster. Enjoy!

How do you access this trail from the top of Reno? After climbing reno do you go left and 'down' the Italian Creek road? I have ridden R-F-B-D plenty of times and want to add in something new and this trail looks super cool. I am heading over to CNB this weekend. Is it straight forward on how you get back to Bear or the bottom of Flag? Thanks.

That would be a funny trail work day, Chris- everyone gets assigned a sledgehammer and starts busting away. That trail has a lot of buff sections, too, though.
