Winter came late, but has decided to stay a bit longer to make up for his late arrival. Though the calendar reads that it’s spring, the snow in Crested Butte’s backcountry tells another tale. With the recent backcountry snowfall being well over a foot in some areas, we went out in search of some cold smoke.
Frank and I headed out to Anthracites on Friday.
On Saturday, we headed out again in search of some cold smoke at Axtell with our friends Rob, Tom, and Gary. But, first, a bit of slednecking along the way. Frank:
